Mahube

The Mahube Small Enterprise Support Trust contributes to the local economy by empowering young entrepreneurs in providing a range of services to help establish and maintain sustainable small business enterprises and co-operatives including training, mentoring and support, and accessing start-up capital and resources.

Since IBT's inception in 2007 the Mahube trust's core programme activities included:

  • the registration of enterprises (including developing business plans and ensuring compliance with legal requirements);
  • directing enterprises to potential financial support;
  • accessing accredited training from service providers and providing in-house workshops;
  • mentorship; and
  • lobbying and advocacy on behalf of the participating organisations.
