GRCF

The Greater Rustenburg Community Foundation (GRCF) is a local grant-making organisation that mobilises resources for development in the greater Rustenburg area. The GRCF's roles include:

  • pooling funds, growing and managing these assets and distributing them to local service providers (non-profit and community organisations);
  • facilitating collaboration and networking among these organisations;
  • conducting research related to local development issues; and
  • strengthening the capacity, training and skills development of local organisations.

To-date the foundation's key achievements have been:

  • community research - including a Community Asset Mapping Programme (CAMP), NPO needs analysis and specific community issues research;
  • development and support services - including community structures capacity enhancement and skills development, an annual NPO conference, NPO networking, technical support services and the development of volunteerism; and
  • organisational development and transformation.
